Well, I am on the way back from diving and fishing from South West Rocks. I've got an Eski full of fish, had a shark encounter and camp fire conversations that went way off track. The great outdoors is yet to provide more funny little adventures for the readers.

Everybody has heard of the Big Banana. But if you haven't don't tell anyone, as they will probably question you right to claim to be an Australian. Established in 1964 its motto was the be the "First Big thing", but it's much more than just a big banana as I found out.

It's a Yoga/Tai Chi/Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength. I have been doing the classes for the past 10 years and highly recommend it.

Well usually I'm not the type of person who does the touristy things, particularly when I'm in my own town. BUT I couldn't go past having a go of the new "Port Jet Boat". What an experience!!!

I made the short venture out to Cassegrain outdoor concert centre last weekend. What a great gig.

The Greater Port Macquarie region is full of surprises! We couldn't have it any better.

Luxe is more than a standard coffee shop!!! Head Chef Chris Harris and his friendly staff pride themselves on producing quality fine food for their customers. If you're after a bit more than a traditional sandwich from a standard coffee shop menu, you won't be disappointed with what luxe has to offer.

My job has involved travelling all over Australia and the world, and I reckon one of the best things travelling has given me, is a true appreciation for home, Port Macquarie. Living in Port is just normality for so many people, but if you stop to think and understand how the other half live, you too will appreciate just how good we have it. I suppose this is one reason why Port is one of the fastest growing towns in Australia, and I'm as proud a punch to be part of it. So what's the big deal???

I recently visited the annual 'Tastings of The Hastings' at the Port Macquarie Race Course. In recent years I have lucked out and not been able to attend because of travel commitments. I am now only too pleased to say that I have been missing out on a great event.

Finnian's Irish Pub is a great beer garden/pub, right in the heart of Port. Live bands on a Friday and Saturday nights, trivia on a Thursday, and 2 for one meals each Wednesday ensures it's always busy and a good place to catch up with friends. It's on the top of my list for a pub in Port. One because I love Kilkenny, and two because it always seems to have a relaxing vibe. Its friendly staff offer a wide selection of beers on tap, and the beer garden outside makes it the perfect place to have a drink this summer.
