Well as some of you might be aware, my wife is pregnant. As her stomach develops so does the reality that I am going to have a baby. However setting up a nursery was another real "wow factor" to this milestone really eventuating.

Whenever any  of us go away there is always plenty to do when we get home. It happens every time, just when you think "how good it is to be home", you're swamped by a million little jobs which have been accumulating since you left.

You just can't pick it! I have spent the last five weeks in Hawaii, every time I surfed there I thought in the back of my head, "I could get hurt today".

Nothing beats getting home and going fishing with a couple of friends. In truth I have been home for a couple of days where I spent a bit of QT with my wife.

I have spent the last five weeks away and it was a great experience. I think it was quite a successful trip. I am sitting fourth on the World ladder, which is a big step up from 31 at the end of last year.

Well I didn't expect that when I woke up this morning, I would have my father-in-law standing at the front door of our Hawaiian pad. I thought I was going to fall over backwards when I saw Jimbo holding his bags at the front door and mischievously grinning.

Although I don't write back to all your comments, I do read them. I like it when you comment, as it gives me feedback on what I'm writing. Last week I wrote a controversial article on the extreme localism going on the North Shore. I received one comment that I had to clear up.

It's no surprise that Hawaii is a state of America, which means everything is big. The waves, cars, food and even the coffee - it's all BIG! Make sure you always ask for a small, cause even a small is a large in comparison to the rest of the World’s standards

After reading your comments on the article "Da Pipeline Bra", Carlo's requested more information on the subject, combined with the five Australians that have been hit in the past two days, I thought I would elaborate further on this controversial subject.

For those who don't know the name, first slap yourself, then think of classic songs like One Summer or Horses, as Daryl Braithwaite, who I had the opportunity of watching, is as much Australian as Ayers Rock itself.
